Boyfriend seeking ‘revenge’ rapes girl, calls over friend to share fun Police steal suspect’s phone

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: An unidentified girl lodged a police complaint accusing her lover and his friend of having forced sex with her, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The girl said her lover requested her to meet in Salmiya and once she got into his car, he punched her on her face and drove her to an apartment where he had forced sex with her and then invited his friend to share the fun. Her lover reportedly thought the girl was the main cause of his divorce with his wife.

Phones in prison: The Central Prison administration launched a surprise inspection campaign and confiscated 12 mobile phones, some of which were in possession of inmates and others were hidden in cells and bathrooms, reports Al-Anba daily.
Inmates are being questioned.

Bangladeshi shot: Police are looking for an unidentified person for shooting at a Bangladeshi man in Mahboula, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Bangladeshi, who was shot on his hand, was rushed to Al-Razi hospital.

7 hurt in mishap: Seven Asians were injured when the van they were traveling in overturned after a tyre burst on the Sixth Ring Road, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Acting on information, paramedics rushed to the place and referred the injured persons to hospital. Vehicular movement was blocked for some time until securitymen got the vehicle removed from the road, say sources.
Meanwhile, two unidentified young men were seriously injured in a traffic accident on Sulaibiya road, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The men were traveling in a sports car which crashed into a lamp post and turned upside down.

Police steal suspect’s phone: A Kuwaiti man lodged a complaint accusing police of stealing his cellphone, reports Al-Shahed daily.
Police arrested the man in Hawalli after coming to know that he was wanted by law for his involvement in financial crimes to the tune of KD 270,000 and referred him to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
He was released after a short time and on realizing that police took his mobile phone and did not return it, the man filed a complaint.
