Baby dumped near mosque
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: A newborn baby was found near Lulua Al-Zeben Mosque during Taraweeh prayers Friday. Paramedics, who rushed to the scene along with securitymen, examined the baby and found that it was in good health. They then referred the baby to Mubarak Hospital and a case was registered. Police are searching for the baby’s mother.
Phone snatched: Two Asians allegedly snatched a BlackBerry phone from an 11-year-old boy and escaped.
The boy immediately reported the incident to his father who filed a complaint at Qairawan Police Station, say sources, adding police are looking for the thieves.
Car broken into: A Kuwaiti has filed a case at the Ahmadi Police Station against an unidentified person, who allegedly stole his mobile phone and wallet from his vehicle.
The Kuwaiti discovered the theft after performing Taraweeh prayer. He was surprised to find the window of his vehicle broken and when he checked its contents, he discovered the thief took his mobile phone and wallet, which contained his identification card and KD 90 cash. A case was registered and police have started investigations to arrest the suspect.
Cash stolen: Thieves broke open the door of a store selling foodstuffs in a commercial building and escaped with KD 280. Sources say the owner of the store discovered the theft the next morning and filed a complaint at Jahra Police Station. Investigations are going on.
