Ex-wife accused of kidnapping citizen Police go hi-tech in locating elderly man
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: The Farwaniya police have found the elderly Kuwaiti man who was allegedly kidnapped by his ex-wife and held captive inside an apartment belonging to her sister at an unidentified location, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources, the police used sophisticated technology to identify the man’s hiding place.
The daily added, police began looking for the man when the man’s elder son filed a missing persons report on his father at the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station.
He indicated to the police that he strongly suspects his ex-wife of kidnapping his father when he just arrived from Cairo. He accused the ex-wife of using magic to influence his father and expressed his fear the woman would take advantage of his father’s ailing condition and force him to sign on papers to give her power of attorney.
The daily added, Thursday the Farwaniya police was able to pinpoint the location where the elder citizen was held captive by his ex-wife and her sister.
