KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: A newborn baby was found abandoned in a garbage container in West Jleeb Thursday.
Sources say a pedestrian going to a mosque to perform ‘Isha’ prayers heard the cries of the baby coming from the waste bin and on checking inside, found a baby girl wrapped in a piece of cloth.
He immediately called the Operations Room which dispatched securitymen and paramedics to the scene. The baby was referred to Farwaniya Hospital and she is said to be in a stable condition.
A case was registered and police are searching for the baby’s parents.

Man hurt: A Lebanese expatriate suffered a cut on his head when he engaged in a fight with his compatriot in a public garden in Hawalli.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene on receiving information about the fight and referred the victim to Mubarak Hospital for treatment. A case was registered and investigations are going on.

Food items stolen: The officer-in-charge of a leading company has registered a case in Sharq Police Station against one of the company officials, who reportedly stole food products worth Kd 35,000.
The securitymen quickly embarked on an intensive investigation but they discovered the suspect has already left the country. This confirms the suspicions of the company that the official is behind the loss of food products worth Kd 35,000.
The Kuwaiti authorities are now coordinating with their counterparts in the suspect’s country of origin to expedite his arrest.

Firm in trust breach: A Kuwaiti woman has lodged a complaint against an investment company, which allegedly failed to return her money — around KD15,000, despite a prior agreement to this effect.
According to the complainant, the company had earlier agreed to return her money on the specified date but it did not honor the agreement. 
Investigations are ongoing to verify the woman’s complaint.  If her allegations are proven correct, a case of betrayal of trust will be filed against the company.
