Asian woman foils kidnap bid in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 18: An Asian woman lodged a complaint at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station against three unknown Asian men, who allegedly tried to kidnap her while she was walking on the main road Wednesday.
According to the woman, she was surprised when a vehicle suddenly stopped beside her and three men forced her into the car. However, she resisted and later went straight to the police station to report the incident. She provided police with a detailed description of the suspects, as well as the vehicle they used at the time.
A case was registered and securitymen quickly launched a man hunt for the suspects.
Shop looted: A Kuwaiti and his Egyptian worker registered a case at Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh against some unidentified men, who broke into his mobile shop and stole 12 mobile phones worth KD 1,900.
The Egyptian told police he was about to open the shop when he discovered the door was broken. Suspecting that something was amiss, he rushed inside to check the contents of the shop and he discovered the thieves took 12 mobile phones worth KD 1,900. Officers from the Criminal Evidence Department lifted fingerprints to identify the thieves.
Friends in fight: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint at Taima Police Station against his friend, who allegedly set fire to the water tanker in his camel stable in Rahiya, due to earlier disputes.
After receiving a call from the Kuwaiti, firefighters and securitymen rushed to the location. Firemen doused the fire before it spread to other structures in the stable. The Kuwaiti accused his friend of intentionally setting fire to the water tanker in retaliation as they had a heated argument over earlier disputes.
A case was registered and police will summon the complainant’s friend for questioning.
Sheep stolen: The owner of an animal pen in Kabad has lodged a complaint against three unidentified persons he accused of stealing 19 sheep worth KD1,000.
According to the complainant, the thieves tied the watchman at the animal pen and then escaped from the scene with 19 sheep. A case was registered and police have started investigations to arrest the culprits.
Cash, jewelry stolen: A Kuwaiti filed a complaint Wednesday at Taima Police Station against unidentified persons, who allegedly broke into his house and carted away KD300 cash, as well as some pieces of jewelry.
The Kuwaiti said he was surprised when he returned home as the door of his house was broken. He rushed inside the house to check its contents and he discovered the thieves took KD300 and some jewelry. Criminal Evidence Department personnel lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
Wanted man nabbed: Securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti wanted by law for causing an accident in Farwaniya.
While patrolling the Coastal Road, opposite Mangaf, the securitymen asked the Kuwaiti to stop for routine inspection. When they checked his security records, they found out he is wanted by law for driving recklessly and hitting a road user in Farwaniya. He was referred to the concerned security department for prosecution.
