KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: The Kuwaiti citizen, identified only as A.N., who is put behind bars for attempting to murder his wife was reportedly quoted as saying even if he is jailed for several years, he will attempt to murder her again, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The man was recently arrested for stabbing his wife several times with a kitchen knife over a family dispute.
However, according to reliable sources the wife had filed for a divorce and he was sure the court would rule in her favor so he attempted to kill her.
He was also quoted as saying he will never allow his wife to get married to another man.

Pakistani duo in drug trade: Officials of the Anti-narcotics Department arrested two Pakistani expatriates for trading in drugs and seized 1,750 grams of heroin from their possession.
On receiving a tip-off that a Pakistani driver was trading in drugs, undercover agents persuaded him to sell 10 heroin capsules for KD 2,500 in Daiya area, say sources, adding ‘the peddler was arrested during the transaction and he, in turn, led securitymen to his compatriot partner.’

Conflicting evidence: A citizen of an unidentified GCC state who is in police custody on the charge of murdering his wife said the woman fell on the kitchen floor while preparing food, reports Al-Rai daily. The husband’s statement is supported by the neighbors. They also said the family maid and the husband tried in vain to help the victim.
Earlier it was reported after the woman fell on the kitchen floor, she became unconscious and the husband rushed her to the Jahra Hospital. However, upon arrival she was declared dead and doctors at the hospital said the cause of the death was strangulation. Police are still interrogating the husband.

Guard killer ‘hysterical’: An unidentified person who tried in vain to end his life by hanging himself with a rope made of his clothing has been referred to the Psychological Hospital, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the man is in police custody for killing a Bangladeshi guard who was working on his father’s livestock pen.
According to police the man was naked and looked hysterical.
However, the Al-Watan Arabic daily said when the suspect was being interrogated by the Public Prosecution he attacked a witness and attempted to suffocate him to death. He also allegedly broke a camera inside the police station when he came from interrogation.

Threat to kill man: Police have arrested three youths — one of them wanted by the state security police — for threatening to kill a Kuwaiti man, reports Al-Dar daily.
According to security sources the youths were arrested after the frightened man rushed to the Khaitan Police Station and filed a complaint. One of the youths, who was wanted in connection with a case related to terrorism, has been handed over to the State Security police.
