Syrian molests 60 plus Kuwaiti woman Uzbek govt nabs Kuwaiti for illegal entry
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 11: Police have arrested a Syrian man for molesting a 66-year-old Kuwaiti woman, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to a complaint filed by the woman with the Al-Oyoun Police Station, the Syrian tenant molested her and attempted to have sex with her.
The incident happened when the woman went to collect house rent from the Syrian and the latter invited her in the house.
He then allegedly grabbed her hand and pulled her in, but she screamed for help and ran out of the room.
Four held: During a crackdown against reckless motorists and people wanted by law, the Jahra police are said to have arrested four Kuwaitis who had been sentenced in absentia for committing crimes, four for driving under the influence of alcohol and 18 young reckless motorists, reports Alam Alyawm daily. The reckless youths were caught for racing on roads and endangering the lives of other motorists. All those arrested have been referred to the authorities.
Entry bid foiled: Officers at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested two Bangladeshis for attempting to enter the country on forged passports, reports Al-Shahed daily.
It has been reported the men were deported from Kuwait a few months ago for indulging in prostitution, gambling and stealing telephone lines.
Kuwaiti arrested: The security authorities in Uzbekistan have arrested a Kuwaiti youth for illegally entering the country, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to the suspect’s father his son committed a mistake by illegally crossing over into the country to visit his friend. The Uzbek authorities are said to have reported the incident to the Kuwaiti consulate.
The father added the Uzbek authorities are prepared to deport his son on condition Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes an official letter that the suspect has signed a pledge not to repeat the offence.
The father added the consular section of the embassy had sent a request to Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs but no action has yet been taken.
The father claims his son is still in the custody of the Uzbek authorities.
2 held in rape: Police have arrested two youths for kidnapping and raping an Asian woman in Hawalli, reports Al-Rai daily. When the victim filed a complaint with the Salwa Police Station securitymen arrested some youths on suspicion and the victim picked up the two suspects from a legal lineup.
Accomplice detained: Police have arrested a Sri Lankan man for attempting to help a female compatriot to escape from the embassy, reports Al-Shahed daily.
A police source said the man was arrested after one of the personnel from the Sri Lankan called the police when he saw the suspect sneaking into the embassy premises.
The same source added the woman is in the custody of the embassy and awaiting completion of paper work to send her back to her home country.
