Chinese women brought as ‘brides’ forced into prostitution Asian gang of visa forgers hunted

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: Police have arrested a Chinese man for pimping and fellow prostitutes, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to police investigations the pimp took from single Chinese men working in Kuwait KD 1,500 to bring a Chinese ‘bride’ into Kuwait.
After bringing the girls to Kuwait the pimp pushed them into prostitution in the name of massage.
Acting on information police put the suspect under surveillance and caught him red-handed with a prostitute.
He has reportedly admitted to bringing into Kuwait scores of Chinese women but he does not know their whereabouts. Police are looking for these women.

Visa forgers sought: Police are looking for a gang of Asian men believed to be work permit forgers, reports Al-Shahed daily.
A police source said this was discovered when an employee at the Farwaniya Labor Department received an application from a Sri Lankan for a visit visa for his wife. The employee discovered someone had tampered with the document and modified the salary from KD 190 to KD 290.
When the Sri Lankan was referred to the authorities he admitted to paying KD 200 to an unidentified Asian man to forge the document. The forger lives in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.

Indian duo arrested: Police recently raided an apartment in a suburb of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and arrested two Indians for manufacturing alcohol, reports Annahar daily quoting security sources.
The same sources said the bootleggers were caught by chance when police raided suspicious apartments in the area which are known to carry out illegal activities particularly apartment which are being used by pimps to practice prostitution.

The bootleggers were reportedly caught red-handed and police are said to have seized from them 41 bottles of alcohol and raw material in addition to liquor manufacturing equipment.
The men, the contraband and the equipment have been referred to the authorities.

Police hunt fraudster: Police are looking for an unidentified fraudster for cheating a Kuwaiti woman and taking from her KD 760, reports Al-Rai daily.
The fraudster reportedly telephoned the woman and told her she was a winner of KD 30,000 and to claim the prize, he said, she should transfer to his cell phone account prepaid cards worth KD 90.
He telephoned again and requested her to transfer KD 670 into his bank account in the United Arab Emirates.

After transferring the money she became suspicious when the man called for the third time and requested her to transfer KD 600 more into the account.
At this point she rushed to the Salhiya Police Station and filed a complaint against the man and gave police his telephone number.

Wanted Syrian caught: Police have arrested a Syrian man who was wanted by law for failing to pay KD 6,000 loan to a company in Salmiya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the man was taken into custody while driving along a road in Salmiya.
It has been reported the man was initially caught for violating traffic law and police discovered the company had filed a complaint against him.
