Drunk Kuwaiti youth held fighting with father over money

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: Security officers arrested a Kuwaiti youth who engaged in a fight with his father, after the man refused to give him KD 1,000 cash he had requested. The youth is said to have arrived home heavily intoxicated.
He was referred to the concerned authority for necessary action.

13 cars seized: In a recent campaign against reckless motorists and other traffic violators across the Jahra Governorate, security operatives issued 300 citations and placed wheel locks on 16 vehicles. Also, they seized 13 other vehicles, which were towed to the Ministry of Interior garages. According to sources, the Jahra Directorate has formed security teams to arrest reckless motorists before the Iftar time, as well as youths harassing people in the public areas. Sources indicated that strict measures will be taken against violators.

Stuntmen held: Jahra securitymen launched an intensive campaign against reckless drivers in the governorate, resulting in the arrest of four car stunt performers and impounding of 18 vehicles. The securitymen also arrested four Kuwaitis wanted by law for their involvement in various crimes. Sources disclosed the Kuwaitis were under the influence of alcohol at the time of their arrest.
Sources affirmed the securitymen will continue conducting surprise inspection campaigns in the governorate to track down criminals and car stunt performers, who endanger not only their lives but also that of other road users.
