Indian woman stabs, tries to kill husband with glass

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: An Indian woman allegedly tried to kill her husband by smashing a bottle on him and used the shards of glass to stab him in the chest and face inside their apartment in Salmiya recently, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

Security operatives rushed to the location after the Operations Room received information on the incident.  Upon arrival at the scene, the rescuers discovered the husband sustained serious injuries, so they immediately took him to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital.

Preliminary investigations revealed the couple had been embroiled in a series of disagreements and it was not the first time the woman had attacked her husband.
A case was registered and the woman was detained for further interrogation.

Indian killed: A 38-year-old Indian expatriate died and a 26-year-old man suffered injuries in a traffic accident on the Seventh Ring Road near Jahra. Securitymen and paramedics handled the situation and a case was registered.
In another accident, two Kuwaiti youths, aged 22 and 23, sustained injuries when their motorbikes skidded on Jahra Expressway near Doha. Paramedics rushed them to Jahra Hospital.
Also, a Kuwaiti, 52, sustained a leg fracture after being knocked down by a vehicle. He was referred to Farwaniya Hospital.
Furthermore, four youths sustained cuts and injuries when their vehicle overturned after a collision. They were all referred to Farwaniya Hospital.

Drugs seized: Jahra securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti man in possession of drugs. Sources say patrol officers noticed the suspect driving erratically and asked him to pull over. On checking records, patrols realized that the man was wanted for his involvement in a public brawl and a subsequent search of his vehicle led to the discovery of drugs, they added. The Kuwaiti was referred to authorities.
