Violations seen in Abu Fatira 900 licences issued
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: Owners of some establishments in the craftsmanship area in Abu Fatira have continued to commit violations despite the announcement of acting General Manager of Farwaniya and Ahmadi Governorates Faisal Sadiq that this is a services area, not commercial, reports Al-Shahid weekly quoting sources.
Sadiq revealed the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued 900 licences with the approval of Kuwait Municipality, but 650 of these licences were allegedly granted to establishments not classified under the services sector. He said the area includes 157 buildings with licenced shops, 103 that are still under construction, and 137 empty spaces. He stressed the need to specify a grace period of one year for the violators to correct their status, warning that failure to comply with the directive will lead to the closure of the establishments.
