Kuwaiti, expats hurt in brawls Maid injured in escape bid

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: An Arab expatriate was beaten with a sharp object on his back and head during a nasty fight he had with another Arab in Mangaf area on Tuesday. Acting on information, paramedics rushed to the scene and referred the injured man to Adan Hospital while securitymen arrested the other Arab.
A case was registered.
Meanwhile, two Kuwaiti youngsters, both below 18, got into a fight in a sports club in Abu Al-Hassaniya area. One of them suffered various injuries and had to be referred to Adan Hospital.
Furthermore, two Egyptians, one in his 30s and the other in his 40s, tried to settle scores with a fist fight in Hawalli area. Sources say one of them suffered an injury in his left eye. He was referred to Mubarak Hospital while securitymen arrested the other Egyptian. The case was registered.
Also, an Asian suffered injuries and had to be referred to Farwaniya Hospital after getting into a fight with another Asian in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. Securitymen arrested the other Asian and referred him to authorities. One of the men is said to be in his 20s while the other is in his 30s. A case was registered.

Maid injured: A 30-year-old Indonesian housemaid suffered serious injuries in various parts of the body and an additional fracture to her left thigh when she jumped from the second floor of her sponsor’s residence in Yarmouk, in an attempt to escape from the house.
Rescue officers responded to a distress call the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received about the incident, and paramedics rushed the injured woman to the Sabah Hospital for treatment. The case was registered.

Wanted man held: Securitymen apprehended a Kuwaiti citizen in his 40s wanted by law for a financial case involving KD 4,000, while patrolling the Sixth Ring Road.
According to sources, the man aroused suspicion of the officers, who asked him to pull over for checking, and they discovered he was wanted by law. The suspect has since been referred to the concerned authority for necessary action.

Hoax bomb call:
The Ministry of Interior received a call that a bomb had been discovered inside a bag at a petrol station in Nasim. However, the rescue team arriving at the scene discovered the call was a hoax. A case has been registered against the caller for misleading security officers.

14 cars seized: Traffic officers from the Capital governorate, in their campaign against reckless motorists, have issued 90 traffic citations against various motorists and seized 14 vehicles. The campaign is expected to continue in the various governorates over an unspecified period.
