Army man molests policewoman Defence staffer in hoax call case
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 2: A Kuwaiti military man has been arrested for harassing and attempting to molest a female police officer while she was on duty at a commercial mall in Sharq, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the ‘victim’ informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior when the suspect refused to leave her alone.
When police took the man into custody they found he was under the influence of alcohol.
Hoax caller nabbed: An employee of the Ministry of Defense has been referred to the State Security police for making a hoax call to police, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to reports the suspect, a few days ago, made a phone call to the female principal of a kindergarten school in Andalus and said a time bomb planted on the premises would go off any moment.
The principal evacuated the students and the teaching staff and informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior. A team of bomb disposal experts dispatched to the area came out empty handed and the call was recorded as a hoax.
Thieves beat witness: The guards of a well-known commercial complex in Al-Rai have arrested and handed over to police two juveniles — an Iranian and a Syrian — for beating a laborer, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reports the juveniles pounced on the victim and beat him mercilessly because he caught them red-handed while stealing DVDs, games and films from one of the shops where the laborer worked.
The suspects have been referred to the Andalus Police Station for interrogation.
