12 Kuwaiti youths mercilessly beat a compatriot in Salmiya US woman held driving without license

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: An American woman has been arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for driving in Kuwait without a Kuwaiti driving license, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the woman was involved in two-vehicle collision in Khaitan. When the traffic police rushed to the spot and asked the woman for her license, she produced her American document.

12 beat up man: Twelve Kuwaiti youths who barged into a restaurant on the second floor of a complex in Salmiya and mercilessly beat a compatriot who was sitting alone, have been arrested and referred to the Salmiya Police Station, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to reports the suspects were armed with knives and batons and from the outset it looked like the attack was well-planned.
The youths allegedly tore of the victim’s clothes and dragged him out of the restaurant as he cried for help but no one intervened for fear of a backlash.
The suspects than drove with the youth in their car and dumped him at an unidentified location. He was found by a police patrol.
According to initial investigations, the main motive behind the attack is personal enmity and earlier dispute.

Suicide attempted: A 23-year-old Egyptian woman who was found unconscious inside the parking lot of a commercial complex in Hawalli has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital for treatment, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said according to a doctor’s report the victim had consumed medicine pills in a vain attempt to end her life.
A case has been registered against her. Police are waiting for her to recover why she wanted to end her life.
