Indian stabs son-in-law in domestic dispute fury
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: An unidentified Indian who allegedly stabbed his son-in-law with a knife has been detained at the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to reports the son-in-law and his wife were involved in an argument. He left the house and went to his friends who lived nearby.
The daily added one hour after the altercation the wife went to the friends who were taking alcohol and asked to see her husband. The men denied her husband was with them and when she insisted and entered the house, they reportedly tore her clothes and tried to rape her.
She escaped from them and told her father.
The angry man then went to the place and stabbed his son-in-law.
When police reached the spot, they found the victim in a pool of blood. He has been referred to the intensive care unit of the Farwaniya Hospital.
Officer kills self: The remains of a 33-year-old Kuwaiti Sergeant Major, who reportedly shot himself to death, have been referred to forensics, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to a source, the incident occurred at 11 am at the officer’s house in Firdous area Saturday. His family members heard a gunshot and rushed to his room where they found him in a pool of blood with his gun beside him.
When the Operations Room received information about the incident, securitymen rushed to the house and summoned Criminal Evidence Department officials to lift fingerprints from the scene.
Investigations are going on to find why the Interior Ministry officer committed suicide and also to ascertain that there was no crime involved. The officer had recently returned from abroad after undergoing treatment for an injury in his vertebra.
A case was registered at Farwaniya Police Station.
