KUWAIT CITY, July 30: Police have arrested an unidentified Sri Lankan woman for abandoning her newborn baby in front of a building in the area, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information rushed to the spot and referred the toddler to a hospital.
During interrogation at a police station the woman admitted to having an illegal relationship with a man.
Police are looking for the ‘father’ of the child.

Dajij fire contained: Acting on information firemen from the Farwaniya Fire Center rushed to Dajij and put out fire behind a commercial complex, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting eyewitness reports said as a precautionary measure firemen evacuated the area and put out the fire.
However, the daily did not give details of the fire.

Motorist injured: A 25-year-old Kuwaiti who was injured when his vehicle overturned on a road in Abdali has been admitted to the Jahra Hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The cause of the accident is not known.

KD 400 stolen: A Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been given, has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing two Egyptians of stealing KD 400, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
It has been reported the victim was talking with one of his friends when one of the Egyptians snatched the wallet from the Kuwaiti’s dishdasha and stole the money and escaped.
The description of the men has been circulated among all police patrol cars.

Woman run over, injured: An unidentified Filipino woman who was run over by a motorcyclist on the Makkah Street in Fahaheel, has been admitted to the Adan Hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily did not give more details.
