Suspects surrender in murder of Kuwaiti
KUWAIT CITY, July 29: A 30-year-old Kuwaiti, identified only as B.A, died Wednesday when two young men — aged 25 and 23 years respectively — allegedly beat and stabbed him with sharp objects and sticks inside his flat on the third floor of a building in Block Two, Fintas.
According to a reliable security source, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Tariq Hamada, acting manager of the Ahmadi Security Directorate Brigadier General Matoug Al-Asslawi, and head of the Security Police Patrols Captain Salman Al-Mutairi rushed to the location after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) received information on the incident.
After checking the scattered things in the flat, the officers concluded that the victim wrestled with his attackers. They also discovered the suspects stabbed him 14 times and beat him with sticks, resulting in his death. His remains were referred to Forensics.
The source said the suspects broke into the flat armed with sticks and knives, and then they beat the victim, stabbed him to death, and fled from the scene. He revealed the security officers traced the calls of the victim to his attackers and called their numbers but their mobile phones were out of the coverage area. He added the officers found some of the murder weapons — a stick and two sharp objects — down the building.
One hour after committing the crime, the two suspects turned themselves in. The suspects were identified as 25-year-old Mishal Sh and 23-year-old A.M.
The Ahmadi investigation officers, led by Colonel Adel Al- Hamadan, have started questioning the suspects. During the interrogation, the officers found out the victim had a heated argument with the suspects when he took their pictures using his mobile phone.
