KUWAIT CITY, July 27: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested an unidentified Indian man for arriving into the country on a forged passport and forging his Civil ID, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to reports this was discovered when he entered into an agreement with his sponsor when he was working as a driver for a Kuwaiti family.
The Kuwaiti and his driver agreed to import goods from India and sell it in Kuwait and share the profits.
However, after the Kuwaiti gave the man KD 6,000 he vanished and left the country on a forged passport and returned to Kuwait again after three years on another forged passport.
Acting on information police raided a laundry at an unidentified location and arrested the man. He has been charged with betrayal of trust, promoting an illusory business and cheating.
He has been referred to the concerned authorities.

Deportation for call thieves: Personnel from the General Department for Criminal Investigation have arrested four Indians for stealing overseas telephone lines and offering calls service to residents of Hawalli at cheaper rates,  reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on a tip-off raided several residential apartments in Hawalli and caught the suspects red-handed.
Police have seized from the suspects stop watches, telephone sets and money. During interrogation the suspects have admitted to the charge. They have been referred to the Deportation Center.

Two Asian bootleggers held: The Jahra police have arrested two Asians for manufacturing and selling booze, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information formed a team and caught the men in possession with five cartons filled with bottles of local booze.
During interrogation the bootleggers admitted to manufacturing booze and selling in to expatriates living in Jahra. The booze and the suspects have been referred to the concerned authorities.
