Bangladeshi hurt in fight with colleague Egyptian hurt in fight with Kuwaiti
KUWAIT CITY, July 26: A 38-year old Bangladeshi expatriate working at a Petrol Station in South Surra sustained various injuries when he exchanged blows with a colleague, while on duty. The injured man was sent to the Mubarak hospital for medical attention.
In a similar incident, a Bangladeshi national was injured in the head during a fight with another person in Souk Sharq. He was referred to the Amiri hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, two Syrians got injured after they fought with two other compatriots in Hawalli area. The injured men were taken to the Mubarak hospital by paramedics who arrived at the location after the Operations Room had been informed in that regard.
Egyptian hurt in fight with Kuwaiti: A 28-year-old Egyptian suffered from multiple injuries when he engaged in a public brawl with a Kuwaiti in Fintas Saturday.
The Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior dispatched securitymen and paramedics to the area after receiving information on the fight. However, when they arrived at the location, the Kuwaiti was no longer there as he fled after sensing police presence. The Egyptian is now confined at Adan Hospital.
Police have intensified their efforts to arrest the Kuwaiti.
Kuwaiti hurt in brawl: A Kuwaiti suffered from injuries in different parts of his body after engaging in a fistfight with two compatriots in Riggae.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after receiving information on the incident. They found the Kuwaiti writhing in pain when they arrived at the scene. They also noticed he was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to Farwaniya Hospital, while the other two Kuwaitis were referred to a nearby police station for questioning.
Woman swindled: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a case against an unidentified person for allegedly swindling her.
According to the complainant, she saw an advertisement on chalets for rent in a commercial magazine, so she called the mobile phone number mentioned in the ads to rent a chalet for KD 400 per week. After reaching an agreement through phone, the man came to her house to collect the money and he asked her to sign the rent contract.
She called the man two days prior to the agreed date for her to use the chalet but his mobile phone was off. She immediately reported the incident to a nearby police station and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspect.
Jleeb crackdown: Securitymen conducted an intensive security campaign in Farwaniya and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Monday, resulting in the arrest of six Asians wanted by law for their involvement in various crimes and seven others for overstaying in the country.
During the campaign, the securitymen set up a number of check points at strategic locations to track down criminals and Residency Law violators. This led to the arrest of 13 Asians involved in various crimes and those who hold expired residence permits. They were referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.
Trio robs Kuwaiti: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint at Firdous Police Station against three young compatriots, who allegedly stole his wallet, which contained KD 360, bank cards and personal documents from his car.
According to the complainant, he was surprised when he went out of his house as the windshield of his vehicle was broken. When he checked the contents, he realized his wallet was missing. He told police his wallet contained KD 360, some bank cards and personal documents.
He claimed he knows the youths who took his wallet and he provided police with a detailed description of the suspects.
A case was registered and police will summon the teenagers for questioning.
Drunkard nabbed: Securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti for consuming alcohol on Gulf Street.
While patrolling the area, traffic patrolmen noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle, so they signaled for the driver - a Kuwaiti - to pull over. When they asked him to present his identification documents, the officers realized he was under the influence of alcohol. They then searched his vehicle until they discovered two bottles of imported liquor. A case was registered against him at a nearby police station.
