Fake Canadian plastic surgeon flees police Woman had salon in famous hotel

KUWAIT CITY, July 25: A Canadian woman who was allegedly performing plastic surgery inside her salon at a well-known hotel is said to have left the country after the Hawalli Municipality discovered her illegal activities, reports Al-Shahed daily.
It has been reported the activity of the woman came to light during a campaign launched by the Hawalli Municipality after two citizens complained they were suffering from partial paralysis after undergoing plastic surgery at the salon.
According to reliable sources the woman is not a qualified plastic surgeon.

Two dead, 12 hurt fleeing Mahboula fire :  Two Asian laborers died and 12 others sustained injuries when they jumped from the first and second floors of a building which caught fire in Mahboula area on Sunday.
Sources say the fire started on the ground floor and quickly spread to the first and second floors when the workers were sleeping. The alarmed workers reportedly jumped in an attempt to save themselves.
Acting on information, securitymen and firefighters rushed to the scene and doused the flames. Meanwhile, the injured workers were referred to Adan Hospital while the remains of the two workers were referred to forensics.
Investigations are going on to find the cause of the fire.
In a separate incident, firefighters extinguished a huge fire which broke out in a dump yard in Dajeej area. Preliminary investigations indicate that the fire was intentionally set. There were no reports of injuries and firefighters controlled the fire within 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, a huge fire gutted a 1,000 sq mt tissue paper plant in Ahmadi Saturday morning. Sources say it took seven hours for 60 firefighters from Ahmadi, Fahaheel, Zour and support stations to bring the fire under control, and prevent it from spreading to nearby factories.
Reportedly, the flames spread rapidly as about 500 tons of tissue papers were scattered all over the place. Three firefighters, who suffered of asphyxiation, were given treatment on the spot.
Investigations are going on to determine the cause of the fire.
In another development, fire engulfed an apartment on the 14th floor of the middle tower in a five-tower building in Mahboula Saturday, resulting in injuries to one of the firefighters, identified as Isa Al-Turkimani.
Firemen from Mangaf and Qurain fire stations rushed to the scene after the Operations Room received information on the incident. They extinguished the fire before it spread to adjacent structures, saving the lives of the tenants. 
No other casualties or injuries were reported. The cause of fire was not immediately known and the authorities have started investigations in this regard. 
In yet another incident, fire broke out in an apartment on the sixth floor of a residential building in Kheitan Saturday. 
Firefighters from Shuwaikh Industrial Area and Farwaniya fire stations joined hands in extinguishing the fire in record time. No casualties or injuries were reported.  Investigations are going on to determine the actual cause of fire.
