Kuwaiti attempts to abduct woman ‘Qat’ seized from Asians
KUWAIT CITY, July 23: A 30-year-old Kuwaiti woman whose identity has not been disclosed has filed a complaint at a police station accusing a compatriot and an acquaintance of attempting to abduct her, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the suspect and the victim knew each other through telephone conversation. She claimed she was introduced to the suspect by a friend.
However, when he insisted to see her, she went to meet him at a cooperative society and the man reportedly tried in vain to force her into his car.
When she screamed for help, some people rushed to her help and the man escaped.
Police are looking for the man. His description has been circulated among all police patrols.
‘Qat’ seized from Asians: Police patrols arrested some Asians in possession of Qat in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh on Thursday and referred them to authorities for further investigation. Sources say patrols on routine duty asked the Asians who were going on foot to show their residence permits. During the process, they found three pieces of Qat with the Asians and arrested them.
Nine sheep stolen from pen: A Kuwaiti man in his 40s registered a complaint at Jahra Police Station, saying nine sheep were stolen from his livestock pen on Thursday. He said he made the discovery when he went to the pen with his Asian worker, and added that they searched for the animals in the nearby desert to no avail.
Investigations are going on and police are looking for the thieves.
