‘Power supply to improve in Aug’ MEW to include 2 units KUWAIT CITY, July 23: The Minister of Electricity and Water Dr Bader Al-Shura’ian assured citizens that electricity supply will improve during Ramadan as of early August, based on the ministry’s plan to include two more units, which will produce 600 megawatts in the next two weeks, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In a statement after participation in a social gathering to mark the Egyptian National Day at the Salwa Auditorium in Marina Hotel, Dr Al-Shura’ian revealed that the ministry will not leave any stone unturned to overcome the power crisis this summer.
He congratulated the Egyptian Embassy, and the government and people of Egypt on the memorable occasion, lauding Egypt efforts to actualize cooperation among Muslim and Arab nations. He reiterated that Kuwaiti-Egyptian relations are exemplary, cordial, and blooming each passing day.
In his remarks, the Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait, Tahir Ferhat, affirmed that Egyptians in Kuwait are law abiding and productive. He also urged Egyptians resident in Kuwait to remain law abiding and continue to participate in developing Kuwait, which he stressed is their second home. He noted that Egyptians are working in a peaceful and conducive atmosphere that can help them achieve more in all fields of life.
