Nepali maid perishes in fall; shepherd dies in mine blast Father beaten for refusing money
KUWAIT CITY, July 22: A 34-year old Nepalese housemaid died when she allegedly fell from the third floor of her sponsor’s apartment in Abdullah Mubarak area.
Securitymen accompanied paramedics to the scene when the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received a report about the episode, whereas paramedics pronounced she had already died after examining the body. Meanwhile, Criminal Evidences Men carried the corpse to the Forensics to determine the real cause of death. The case has since been registered for investigation.
Shepherd dead: A Sudanese shepherd died when he stepped on a mine believed to be remnant from the Iraqi invasion at a desert area in Salmi and the mine went off. The corpse was referred to the Forensic Department for autopsy, after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry dispatched securitymen and paramedics to the area and they noticed the man was dead. The case was registered.
Son beats father: An Arab expatriate filed a case against his son who reportedly assaulted and caused injury to him. The man complained that his son beat him up when he couldn’t afford a certain amount of money the boy requested. The boy was arrested immediately and referred to the concerned authority for necessary action.
Man hurt in fight: A Kuwaiti citizen sustained severe injury and additional fracture to his left hand during a clash with three other Kuwaitis in Kabad.
Security sources said the injured man was holding a pistol in his left hand, and it was obvious he fired a few shots with it. In the meantime, paramedics carried the injured man to the Farwaniya hospital for treatment, while the other three fighters managed to escape. The case has been registered, and police are waiting for the victim’s health to improve to determine if the gun was licensed or not.
Maid missing with cash: A citizen in his 40s filed a case in Sabah Al-Nasser police station and reported that his housemaid stole KD 1700 from his room and ran away.
According to the man, he discovered the safe had been broke open with the money missing when he returned home. He added the maid has since absconded.
Meanwhile, police have circulated details of the suspect at checkpoints for her arrest.
Two cars vandalized: A Kuwaiti citizen told police officers in Ferdous that two persons living in the neighborhood intentionally damaged the glass of two of his cars and made inscriptions on them. He added the damage is valued at KD 1,000. Police took details for the suspects for their arrest.
Stunt show in Kabad: Three Kuwaiti youths were arrested on the Kabad Motorway when the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received news about several motorists performing stunts with their vehicles and motorbikes, amid a huge number of spectators, and security officers rushed to the location to maintain order. The culprits were sent to the relevant authority.
