Student ‘molested’ - Court frees tutor 13 hurt in 48-hour mad dash on roads

KUWAIT CITY, July 21: The Criminal Court Wednesday acquitted an Arab male tutor who was accused of molesting a female student while giving her tuition.
According to case papers the teacher grabbed the student from behind and tried to kiss her. The student also said the teacher touched her private parts.
Defense attorney Dalal Al-Mulla told the court the incident is a pure fabrication because it is illogical that a man can commit such a crime in the victim’s home in the presence of family members.
The lawyer also reminded the court that the victim had given a contradictory statement in front of the Public Prosecution. She also told the court the victim could have cried out for help if there is any truth in what she says.
Attorney Mulla pointed out the victim has filed the case ‘late’ which denotes she has fabricated the case. The lawyer said there is no real evidence in case files to support the victim’s testimony and there is no single witness. The session was presided over by Judge Salah Al-Houti.
