Indian gang leader, Nepalese aides held for mass rape, forgery

KUWAIT CITY, July 19:Officers from the General Immigration Department have arrested an Indian gang leader and some Nepalese for allegedly raping several Nepalese women and forging certificates of good conduct issued by the Nepalese government.
In a press statement Monday, the Ministry of Interior revealed a team of immigration officers was formed immediately after receiving information on the activities of the suspects, who reportedly detained and raped many Nepalese women inside a flat in Fahaheel.
The team raided the flat where they found the suspects, as well as forged stamps and certificates of good conduct. 
The suspects were referred to the relevant security department for interrogation and other necessary legal action.

Drugs seized: Police have arrested three bedoun for possessing three pieces of hashish and nine narcotic pills, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to reports the suspect were caught while driving along a road in Nuwaiseeb off Umm Al-Haiman.
When a police officer patrolling the area ordered the man to pull over, he was allegedly angry and started arguing with the officer. This aroused the suspicion of the officer and he ordered to search the car.
Police found in a secret place in the car the drugs and drug consuming tools. The trio has been referred to the authorities.

Flee bid fails: A 23-year-old Indonesian housemaid suffered from spinal cord injury and deep cut in the forehead when she fell from the second floor of her sponsor’s house in Qasour, Ahmadi in an attempt to escape from the sponsor.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Room received information on the incident.  They referred the housemaid to Jahra Hospital. A case was registered and investigations are in progress to determine the circumstances that prompted the housemaid to try to escape from her sponsor.

Woman assaulted:
An 18-year-old woman sustained head injuries after an Asian hit her in Andalus.
Securitymen and medical emergency personnel rushed to the location immediately after receiving information on the incident.  They referred to victim to Farwaniya Hospital, while the Asian was taken to a police station for interrogation and other necessary legal action.  The motive behind the attack remains unknown.

Grocery robbed: Police are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly broke into a grocery shop in Farwaniya and stole KD 180 cash, prepaid telephone cards and many other items, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In his complaint to the police the Bangladeshi grocer said he discovered the theft when he went to the shop in the morning.
The thief entered the shop by breaking the lock on the main door. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.

Drunkard held: A 33-year-old Kuwaiti has been arrested by police for driving under the influence of alcohol and colliding with three vehicles in Sabah Al-Nasser, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
According to reports the suspect escaped from the scene after committing the crime.  However, the victims called the police and immediately the car plate number of the suspect was circulated among all police patrols.
The drunkard was arrested within half an hour in the area. At the time of his arrest he was allegedly high on alcohol.
