Relative escapes AK-47 firing by 3 brothers in moral incident

KUWAIT CITY, July 19: Three brothers are said to have fired several shots Kalashnikov rifles in an attempt to kill a relative who had allegedly committed immoral acts. The event took place inside a Kuwaiti citizen’s home in Sabahiya, causing damage to the house and other cars parked there.
According to security sources, passers-by hearing the gun shots placed a distress call to the Operations Room in that regard, whereas security officers rushed to the location immediately. They managed to arrest the suspects, who claimed quarrelling with their relative on moral grounds. In the meantime, the suspects with the weapons were referred to the Public Prosecution.

Kuwaiti to be freed: Syrian authorities have decided to release the Kuwaiti national Faisal Al-Usaimi who has been detained for an inadvertent road accident that killed one person, a senior government official said on Monday.
Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Roudan Al-Roudan told KUNA that he was informed by the Ambassador of Kuwait to Syria Aziz al-Dihani that he is currently finishing procedures for releasing the detained Kuwaiti national.
The minister extended sincere thanks to the Syrian authorities for their prompt response in this regard.

Contractor steals iron: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint against a contractor who allegedly stole iron from his under construction house in South Jahra. 
According to the complainant, he discovered the theft when he visited the construction site recently.  He reported the incident to a nearby police station, accusing the contractor of stealing an undisclosed quantity of iron from the site.
A case was registered and police will summon the contractor for questioning.

Maid attempts suicide
: An Indonesian housemaid sustained fractures in various parts of the body when she jumped from the third floor of her sponsor’s residence in Sabah Al-Nasser area, in an attempt to commit suicide.
Rescue officers arrived at the scene shortly after the Operations Room received a distress call reporting the incident, and she was referred to the Farwaniya hospital for medical care. The case was registered.
