Sponsoring Step Daughter on Dependent Visa

I would like to know if I can sponsor my step-daughter (20 years old) on a dependent visa. My wife’s daughter, my wife and I are working in Kuwait and I am earning KD 410.
We already have a daughter (7 years old) on my sponsorship. I have been working in Kuwait for the past 20 years.

Name withheld

Answer:
Yes, You can sponsor your stepdaughter and should have no problems in getting a dependent visa for her, but there is a problem if her father is alive. In such a case you have to get a letter from the father stating that he has no objections to the daughter staying with the mother. This affidavit has to be attested by a court and the foreign ministry of your country.

try ur luckSrivi | 7/19/2010 10:08:59 AM It depends upon the manager to approve. only mother with idnamel can sponsor. Using important documents like divorce papers, marriage affidavit, father's no objection affidavit possible. Before starting affidavit process, first check with your area jawazat manager to avoid expenses.
