Egyptian held at airport; 4 steal KD 400 from Asian
KUWAIT CITY, July 16: The Egyptian immigration authorities have arrested an unidentified Egyptian man who was attempting to board a plane to Kuwait using forged documents, reports Annahar daily. The man has been referred to the concerned authorities in Egypt for interrogation.
Man held for dud cheques: Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have arrested an unidentified Iranian man for issuing dud cheques worth KD 8,000, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Without going into details the daily said the man has been referred to the concerned authorities.
Valuables stolen from car: An Egyptian computer engineer who works for a reputed company on the Fahd Al-Salem Street in downtown Kuwait City has filed a complaint with the Salhiya Police Station accusing an unidentified person of breaking into his car and stealing valuables, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
It has been reported the car was parked in the company’s parking lot.
4 steal KD 400 from Asian: Four persons in the national attire are said to have assaulted an Asian national, robbed him of KD 400, and then snatched his mobile phone in Fahaheel.
In the meantime, the complainant provided police with registration number of the suspects’ car, so the case was registered for investigation, while their details have been circulated at checkpoints for their arrest.
‘Wanted’ man arrested: Police patrols on routine duty arrested a man, who was wanted in a criminal case, in Riqqa area late Thursday. Sources say the man, who is believed to be in his 30s, got confused when patrols asked him to stop for a routine check. Soon, patrols learnt about his ‘wanted’ status and referred him to authorities.
Barber’s shop broken into: A Pakistani barber, whose name has not been disclosed, has filed a complain with the Taima Police Station in Jahra accusing unidentified persons of breaking into his shop and stealing KD 100 in addition to electrical appliances, reports Arrouiah daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the thieves.
Female employee insulted: A female employee working at a government hospital has filed a complaint with the concerned authorities accusing a Lebanese patient of insulting her in front of her colleagues, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The suspect will be summoned for interrogation.
Minister sues MP: Minister of Health Dr Hilal Al-Sayer through his lawyer has filed a case against MP Delaihi Al-Hajri because the latter has allegedly insulted him during a parliamentary meeting, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
However, according to reliable sources the daily said the MP offered his apology in a telephone call for the verbal attack. The minister is demanding an apology in front of MPs in the National Assembly.
Although earlier the sources close to Hajri said the MP had planned to apologize publicly is now refusing to do so.
