Two citizens in critical condition after being stabbed during fight

KUWAIT CITY, July 16: Two unidentified Kuwaitis who were stabbed with knives during a fight in a suburb of Al-Zahra have been admitted to a hospital in critical condition, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior received information about the fight and when police were dispatched to the area, some youths escaped from the scene.
However, police arrested three youths and took them to the area police station for interrogation.

Citizen, cabbie hurt in fight: A Kuwaiti man in his 40s and an Indian taxi driver in his 30s got into a fight and exchanged blows in Shuwaikh Industrial Area on Thursday. Sources say both men suffered injuries and had to be referred to Farwaniya Hospital. During investigation, the men said they had an argument during the drive and on reaching the passenger’s destination, they decided to settle it physically. A case was registered.

1,000 drug pills seized: The Mubarak Al-Kabir police have arrested two Egyptians for possessing 1,000 drug pills, reports Arrouiah daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information set a trap for the suspects and caught them red-handed.
They have been referred to the General Department for Drug Control.

78 Asians arrested: During a crackdown on residence law violators, vice and prostitution in the Jahra governorate, police are said to have arrested 78 Asians and referred them to the authorities, reports Arrouiah daily.
Most of the arrested are believed to be unemployed illegal residents.


2 held for financial fraud: The Hawalli police have arrested two men who had been sentenced in absentia to an unidentified term in connection with financial frauds, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspects were arrested by police in Salmiya. No details are given.

Asian’s KD 180, phone stolen: Police are looking for four unidentified people for impersonating police, waylaying an Asian and stealing his wallet containing KD 180 and cell phone, reports Arrouiah daily.
In his complaint the Asian said he was attacked by four youths while walking on a road in Shuwaikh.
