Illegal women forced into prostitution 500 liquor bottles seized from Asian bootleggers

KUWAIT CITY, July 14: Sheikh Ali Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, Director-General of the General Department for Criminal Investigation has given orders for the arrest of a senior officer at the Ministry of Interior for renting out an apartment for prostitution, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the officer used his position to arrest Asian women who are residing illegally into the country and forced them into prostitution in return for not referring them to the authorities.
The daily said the man was carrying out his illegal activities with the help of some Asian pimps.
The pimps have already been referred to the authorities.

500 bottles seized: The Farwaniya Night Duty Squad has arrested four North Koreans for bootlegging, reports Al-Wasat daily.
According to reports police, acting on information, raided the apartment of the bootleggers in a suburb of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and caught them red-handed.
Police have reportedly seized 500 bottles of booze from the suspects and referred them to the authorities.
Meanwhile, the Ahmadi police have arrested three Asians for bootlegging, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the suspects were caught red-handed by a police patrol. Surprisingly the suspects were caught in possession of betel leaves in addition to booze.
It may be noted the sale of betel leaves in Kuwait is banned by law because the authorities consider it a drug. The men have been referred to the authorities.
