Police arrest Asian for forging work permits, other documents
KUWAIT CITY, July 13: Officers from the Capital Security Directorate launched an extensive inspection campaign on the Arabian Gulf Street in the early hours Tuesday.
During the campaign, the securitymen impounded four vehicles and issued 79 traffic citations. They said this campaign will continue in the area, which is usually used as a venue for reckless drivers to perform stunts on the road, to protect the lives of motorists and curb the rising number of traffic accidents.
Asian arrested: The Khaitan police have arrested an unidentified Asian man for forging work permits and various types of other transactions, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports police acting on information raided his office in the area and caught him red-handed.
Police have reportedly seized from the man forged seals and documents and referred him to the authorities.
Fake KSE deals: The Public Prosecution has referred the owners of three companies to the General Department for Criminal Investigation for involvement in illegal transactions and making illusory deals at the Kuwait Stock Exchange, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports two companies are involved in investment activities and the third in the industry sector.
Sick leave stamp stolen: A doctor working at a private hospital lodged a complaint at Al-Rumaithiya Police Station saying a female patient, 50, stole a seal he used for stamping sick leaves, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Hawalli sleuths swung into action and collected all details about the suspect and it led to her arrest. The woman is said to have admitted the charges.
Duo selling rotten meat: Food inspectors of Ahmadi branch of municipality foiled two expatriates’ attempt to sell 600 kilos of spoiled camel meat and got them arrested, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Head of the inspection team Meshaal Aba Al-Safi said the expatriates were trying to sell the rotten meat on the occasion of Prophet’s (PBUH) ascension.
Pharmacist assaulted: An Arab pharmacist has filed a complaint with the Sulaibikhat police accusing an unidentified person of beating him because he refused to sell him medicine without prescription, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to the complainant the suspect came to the pharmacy and asked for a certain type of medicine which cannot be given without doctor’s prescription.
When he refused to give the medicine the suspect was involved in an argument and he hit the pharmacist and escaped.
The victim has give police the description of the suspect.
