Indian kidnapped, freed on ransom payment

KUWAIT CITY, July 12: An Indian expatriate in his early 30s was kidnapped by four youths in Fahaheel area, who demanded a ransom of KD 200 before releasing him.
The man told police officers that the suspects took 20 dinars he had in his wallet and went ahead to call his friend to pay KD 200 before he would be released. The man noted his friend brought the amount, so he was freed.
In the meantime, he provided securitymen with the description of the suspects, while the case has been registered for investigation.

Youth injured in fight: One individual was seriously injured when a group of youths engaged in a public brawl in Taima. Paramedics and securitymen rushed to the scene when the Operations Room was notified in that regard, and the injured youth was referred to the Jahra hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, sources said friends of the injured person damaged the vehicle of one of the fighters. The case was registered for investigation.

Burglar takes cash: Thieves raided a Kuwaiti citizen’s home in Nahda and made away with KD 1,500 cash and other items.
The citizen told police officers that he went for a picnic and was surprised when he returned home and discovered the main door had been broke open. The man is said to have noticed the theft after checking inside the house. The case was registered for investigation.
