Citizen arrested in KD 14,000 financial case; Maid molested

KUWAIT CITY, July 9: A 34-year-old Kuwaiti citizen was arrested by police officers in Sabahiya for his involvement in a KD 14,000 case. A sentence had reportedly been issued against the suspect in absentia, so the officers referred him to the relevant authority without delay.
Meanwhile, police have arrested three people for drinking alcohol - two of them are believed to be army men and the other a civilian, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the drunkards were arrested while driving along the Abu Dhabi coastal road. They have been detained at the Shuwaikh Industrial Area Police Station.

Maid molested: A Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing an Arab man of molesting his Asian maid, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The incident happened in Ahmadi in front of the home of the Kuwaiti.

Asian held at airport: The Kuwait International Airport police have foiled an attempt by an Asian man, to leave the country on a forged passport, reports Al-Rai daily.
The man, identified only as Al-Zaeem, is wanted by law in connection with eight cases of prostitution. He is detained at the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station.

50 bottles of liquor seized: The Farwaniya police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti for drinking under the influence of alcohol and seized from him 50 bottles of booze, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the man was caught on suspicion and when police checked his name in computer, they found he is wanted by law in connection with KD 10,000 fraud.
The man has been referred to the concerned authorities.

Grocer holds man captive: The Salmiya police have arrested an unidentified Iranian grocer for holding captive an Arab man for failing to pay his bill, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the Arab man he purchased goods from the shop on monthly basis and always paid the man in time but this time around he was unable to pay at the end of the month.
The angry grocer reportedly locked the man inside the shop and refused to let him go until he paid the money. The man escaped and filed a complaint with the police.

Police hunt car thieves
: The Fahaheel police are looking for unidentified people for stealing cars from two different locations, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In the first incident, an Egyptian man told the police his car was parked in front of his home and that he discovered the theft in the morning just before going to work.
The other car belongs to an Asian man and it went missing from the parking lot of a commercial mall in the same area. Both men have provided police with the description of their cars.
