Baby left to die; Ex-wife beaten
KUWAIT CITY, July 6: A new-born baby was found at a basket ball court opposite the Marina Mall around midnight Monday. Securitymen and paramedics were dispatched to the location when the Operations Room received the report.
Upon arrival paramedics examined the week-old baby and assured it was in good health. They have since referred the baby to the Mubarak Hospital, while investigation is in progress to determine the parents. The case was registered.
Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti woman in her 30s filed a case in Sulaibikhat police station against her ex-husband who allegedly assaulted her.
The woman complained she received a phone call from the suspect, who requested the two of them should meet, in the course of which they quarreled and the suspect assaulted her. The case was registered for investigation.
Man found dead: The remains of an Egyptian worker who was found dead near a building under construction in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh have been referred to Forensics to identify the cause of death, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
Pakistani mugged: A Pakistani expatriate was assaulted and robbed of KD 200 by five individuals at a desert area in Saad Al-Abdullah. The man supported his claim with a medical report confirming bruises he sustained as a result of the attack. The case was registered, while investigation is on-going for his arrest.
Copper stolen: The officer in charge of lamps at Public Roads filed a case in Jahra police station against thieves who stole 55-kg copper from lamp posts along the Salmi Motorway. Securitymen lifted fingerprints to arrest the suspect, and the case was registered for investigation.
Son robs mother: A Kuwaiti woman filed a case in Sulaibikhat police station against her son who allegedly stole her money. The woman said her son is involved in several cases and wanted by law. Details of the suspect have been circulated at checkpoints for his arrest, while the case has been registered.
Guard beaten: Police are looking for three unidentified persons who allegedly broke into a livestock pen in Kabad and stole four sheep, reports Al-Rai daily.
The thieves reportedly beat the guard and tied his feet and hands behind the back with a rope, gagged his mouth to prevent him from screaming and escaped with the loot.
