United Friends to clash with Curtorcares for title Final set for Friday
KUWAIT CITY, June 30: A solitary second half goal scored by Remedio Fernandes sent holders GOA Maroons packing out of the Gulf Cable and Electrical Co. KSC sponsored KIFF league for late J P D’Mello memorial trophy in the first semifinal played at MoH ground, Shuwaikh.
It was only the chance that came UFC’s way throughout the match. UFC medio Godwin found Remedio who ran a distance to connect it and score a beautiful goal which proved to be a match winner. GOA Maroons tried everything for the equalizer, but all their attempts were well intercepted by the strong UFC defence led by Captain Maurice and brilliant goalkeeping by Joaquim Pillai.
