Two Egyptian held for kidnapping women, selling them to pimps

KUWAIT CITY, June 25: The Ahmadi police have arrested two Egyptian cabbies for kidnapping six Asian women and forcing them into prostitution, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police received information that the duo was working as taxi drivers but were hand in gloves with pimps.
The information also revealed the drivers preyed on runaway maids and sold them to pimps.
According to security sources police acting on information raided an apartment at an unidentified location and rescued the women. The women claimed one man always remained in the house to prevent them from escaping. The women also claimed the men paid them KD 1 each time they had sex with ‘customers’ brought by the two men.

Kuwaiti ‘couple’ arrested: The Hawalli police have arrested a Kuwaiti ‘couple’ on drug charges, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.According to a security source, the suspects were caught inside a car which was parked on the side of a road.
After checking their names on police computer, securitymen discovered they were wanted by law. They have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Man held for financial crime:
The Jahra police have arrested a 51-year-old Kuwaiti in connection with a financial fraud, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the man had been sentenced in absentia. He was caught at a checkpoint.
