Students caught cheating barred from exams
KUWAIT CITY, June 25: The Ministry of Education Thursday dismissed two students and banned them from writing their exams because they were caught cheating, reports Al-Wasat daily.
According to sources from the Education Ministry the two students had hired help to write the English language paper for them.
The sources explained the officials caught a Saudi youth impersonating a Kuwaiti student and writing the examination paper on his behalf and another Kuwaiti writing the exam for his compatriot.
The arrested persons were referred to the Firdous Police Station to identify the students on whose behalf they had entered the examination hall.
The source added on Thursday five other students were banned from entering the first round exams due to cheating.
Meanwhile the sources said the rate of attendance for arts subjects was 96.6 percent and religion 85.2 percent.
