Bleeding Indian reports beating, theft by trio
KUWAIT CITY, June 23: Police are looking for three people for assaulting and robbing an Indian man who is believed to be in his 30s, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
In his complaint to the Khaitan Police Station, the victim said the suspects beat and him and escaped with KD 230.
He added he was walking along a street and the trio pulled over, got down from the car and started beating him for no reason as passersby watched. They then stole his wallet and escaped.
It has been reported when the Indian walked into the police station he was bleeding.
Herb shops raided: The Kuwait Municipality, Hawalli branch, during a surprise inspection campaign involving a number of stores and shops in Salmiya and Hawalli is said to have confiscated large quantities of herbs and blends for treating diseases such as cancer, diabetes, sexual impotency, cough and others, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily added when the samples were sent to the laboratories, results showed the herbs are unknown and harmful.
In other news the daily said the Municipality inspectors have also closed down a confectionery shop for not abiding by hygiene rules.
