Bangladeshi bribes cop Bangladeshi beaten with sticks

KUWAIT CITY, June 22: : Police have arrested a Bangladeshi for attempting to bribe a police officer at the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station in a vain attempt to seek the release of his compatriot who was caught selling vegetables by roadside, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The Bangladeshi offered to pay the officer KD 300. The officer pretended to accept the offer, set a trap for the man and caught him red-handed.

Bangladeshi beaten with sticks: A group of youths attacked a Bangladeshi expatriate in his mid-30s with sticks, near a cooperative society in Waha, causing severe injuries and additional fractures to various parts of the body.
Paramedics accompanied securitymen to the scene after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received news about the episode, and the man was carried to the Jahra Hospital, amid agonizing pain, for treatment. The case was registered for investigation.

Drunkard enters police station
: Security operatives from Salmiya detained a Kuwaiti who went to the police station in a confused state, and police discovered he was drunk due to incomprehensible words he was babbling. He was detained at the cell for further investigation.

Hoax fire call: The Operations Room of the Interior received a call that fire had erupted at a certain house in Taima area. However, the rescue team arriving at the location realized the call was hoax. Police officers from the Jahra Directorate have since registered a case against the caller for disturbing the concerned authority.

Egyptian dies in mishap: An Egyptian worker died on the spot and eight others — Syrians, Egyptians, Indians and Bangladeshis — were rushed to the intensive care unit of the Jahra Hospital, when the bus overturned when one of the tyres burst, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily did not give more details.

Mason falls to death: A mason, whose identity has not been disclosed, fell to his death from a building under construction in Hawalli, reports Al-Rai daily. According to information, part of a wall collapsed on him killing him on the spot. The corpse of the victim has been referred to Forensics. Police are investigating.
