In a clampdown on vice Friday, security operatives from Jahra, supervised by Security Chief Brigadier Mohammed Tana, apprehended 17 Asians, including individuals who were reported absconding, others violating the residency law, and pimps.
The officers acted on information Brigadier Al-Tana received about activities of an Asian who accommodated Asian women fugitives for prostitution and charged between KD 5 and KD 20 per client. The pimp is said to have confessed to the act, after the officers raided the flat.
The suspects have all been referred to the relevant authority for prosecution.
Brigadier Al-Tana noted the campaign will continue in the entire governorate for an indefinite period, to get rid of illicit activities.
