Internet Porn-watchers will face arrest

KUWAIT CITY, June 17:: The Electronic Crimes wing of the Criminal Investigations Department has been given approval to use a program which identifies Internet users and blocks all pornographic websites, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Sources say this was made possible due to the efforts of the Communications Ministry and the three telecom companies in the country.
Indicating that the program will be put into practice soon, the Interior Ministry in a statement said the program will block all porn sites and will help in identifying the location of the users of such sites which, in turn, will help in arresting them quickly. 

Cargo goods stolen: An Egyptian cargo delivery man filed a complaint at Khaitan Police Station, accusing unidentified people of stealing items worth more than KD 1,000 from his half lorry parked in front of his house, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

54 illegals nabbed: Members of a Tripartite Committee comprising personnel from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Ministry of Interior recently raided maids recruiting offices in Hawalli and Fahaheel and arrested 54 people for violating residence laws, reports Al-Rai daily.
All those arrested have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Asian mugged by two: An unidentified Asian man has filed a complaint with the Farwaniya Police Station accusing two unidentified police impersonators of robbing his wallet containing an unidentified sum of money and his cell phone, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint the victim said this happened while he was walking along a road. The two men walked up to him and ordered him to show his ID.
When the victim pulled out his wallet, one the suspects grabbed the wallet and the other the cell phone and escaped. Police are looking for the suspects.

Drugs found on duo: The Mubarak Al-Kabir police have arrested two Kuwaitis for possessing hashish, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the suspects were arrested for reckless driving in the area and while issuing a citation, one of the officers saw a bag on the back seat of the car.
Police checked the bag and found a quantity of hashish. The men have been referred to the authorities.

Two held with liquor: The Ahmadi police have arrested two men for bootlegging, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports a police patrol saw the duo riding in a car in Abu Halifah and when they saw the patrolmen the man behind the wheel tried in vain to change route.
Police ordered the man to pull over and after checking the car found bottles of locally manufactured booze carrying fake labels of foreign booze.

Flesh trade galore: Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant police recently raided several apartments in Mangaf and arrested 29 people — men and women believed to be prostitutes and pimps — and referred them to the authorities, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Among those arrested are 10 people who did not carry their IDs and were reported ‘absconders’ by their employers.
One of those arrested is a two-year-old child, believed to be born out of illegal relationship.
