Woman reports ‘unfaithful’ husband with video proof Gang of co-op thieves nabbed

KUWAIT CITY, June 16: A Kuwaiti woman reported her husband’s infidelity with a Filipina at the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Police Station Tuesday evening, and supported her claim with video evidence.
The woman told police officers that she became suspicious anytime she went to work, so she decided to erect a video camera inside the house. The woman went ahead to show the video tape to police, which involved the entire scenario of her husband and his Filipina concubine engaging in indecent act. Police have registered the case for further investigation.

Gang of co-op thieves nabbed : Security operatives from Salwa apprehended thieves who raided a branch of the Salwa Cooperative Society and carried away two safes, and emptied the cashier’s drawer containing the day’s sales, plus stamps, and other equipment valued at KD 1,300, according to a Ministry of Interior press release.
A team of detectives was formed to investigate the case, after the theft was reported at the station. The first suspect was arrested in less than 72 hours, who confessed that other Arab expatriates were involved in the act.
The suspect told police officers the gang had planned the operation for a while, and they entered the cooperative society through the basement and then came to the first floor with the elevator. He also said they ensured no traces were left behind by wearing gloves and masks. Investigation is in progress to arrest the rest of the gang.


Son attacks mother: A Kuwaiti woman, about 48 years old, registered a case in Fahaheel police station against her son, who reportedly tried to beat her, after he had rained abuses at her during a quarrel. The case has been registered, and the son will be called for interrogation.

Liquor peddler held: An Asian national was nabbed with 21 bottles of locally brewed liquor, and a finger of hashish in his possession in Hasawi area.
A source said, security officers on routine duty in the area spotted a bus in the area at nighttime, while the driver was loading boxes into the bus, so they approached him for checking and found the contraband. They went on to search him personally, and they discovered hashish. The officers referred him to the concerned authority without delay.

Asian gang beats Indian: A 50-year-old Indian sustained multiple injuries after engaging in a fistfight with some Asians near a private school in Hawally Tuesday.
Securitymen and medical emergency personnel rushed to the scene right after receiving a call from a passerby who witnessed the fistfight.  When they arrived at the location, the medical emergency team referred the injured to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital, while the security officers arrested the Asians and took them to a nearby police station for the necessary legal action.

Kuwaiti caught drunk: Police arrested a 45-year old Kuwaiti citizen on the Sixth Ring Road for consuming alcohol. Security sources said the officers noticed the erratic manner by which the man was driving and ordered him to pull over for checking. They officers discovered he was heavily intoxicated as they approached him for questioning. He was sent to the relevant authority for necessary action.

Heat gets Iraqi boy: A 15-year old Iraqi boy slumped and fainted at a school in Farwaniya Tuesday. Based on a report received by the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry in that regard, paramedics were prompt to the location, and the teenager was carried to the Farwaniya Hospital for treatment. According to colleagues of the victim, the high temperature might have caused the problem.

Student hurt in fall:
A 16-year old Kuwaiti student sustained fractures to the right leg, and other injuries in various parts of the body when he fell from the second floor of a school building in Bayan Tuesday.
Rescue officers arrived at the scene shortly after they received a distress call about the accident, and the victim was rushed to the Mubarak Hospital for urgent medical attention. Preliminary investigation indicated the victim was playing close to the metal fence when he suddenly lost balance and fell.
