!I am working for a company for the past 6 months and I was locally transferred from my previous company.
I have an open-ended contract with the current company.
I want to leave from this company but will I get a release from them before completing 1 year? I am not a graduate.
And one more thing can you please explain what the words below mean. These are written in my contract. “I am not permitted to work for any competing company in Kuwait until after 2 years from date of ending services with this company.”

Answer: No, you can’t transfer to any other company until you have completed one year with your current firm.
Secondly, the clause in contract forbids you from any of your current company’s competitors for a period of two years and if you do the company can refuse to give you a release. The Labor Ministry will also not sanction the transfer if you try to transfer to a similar firm.
