Indian Woman escapes rape bid

KUWAIT CITY, June 8: An Indian woman in her 20s filed a case at Sabah Al-Nasser Police Station accusing her 38-year-old sponsor of molesting her on Monday.
The woman said the sponsor assaulted her and tried to rape her, but she somehow escaped and came straight to the police station.
The sponsor will be summoned for interrogation.

Forged KD 20 bills: An official at a bank in Jahra referred a Kuwaiti to the nearest police station Monday after discovering that the latter was about to deposit counterfeit 20-dinar bills.
According to the official, he was counting the money when he noticed the fake 20-dinar bills. He immediately referred the depositor, a Kuwaiti, to a nearby police station. A case was registered and investigations are underway to determine if the Kuwaiti forged the dinar bills.

Mechanic sought: A Kuwaiti citizen told police officers about an Arab national working at a garage in Shuwaikh Industrial Area who took KD 100 from him to purchase car parts, and absconded with the money. He added the man has switched off his mobile, so the case was registered for investigation.

Burglary in home: Thieves broke into a Kuwaiti man’s house and escaped with KD 600 and a wrist watch worth KD 350 while he was on vacation with his family. The man filed a report at Andalus Police Station after coming back on Tuesday.
Criminal Evidence Department men lifted fingerprints from the scene to identify the culprits, say sources.
