Doctors practising without license in Salmiya 33 illegals held in Amghara crackdown

KUWAIT CITY, June 6: A team from Jahra Security Directorate conducted an intensive inspection campaign for the second consecutive day on June 5 at Amghara scrapyard, resulting in the arrest of 33 Asians who violated the Residency Law.
The team installed a number of check points at the exit and entry points in the area to track down those who have violated the laws of Kuwait. This campaign led to the arrest of 33 Asians with expired residence permits. They were referred to the concerned security department for prosecution.
Sources confirmed the directorate will continue this campaign at various locations in Jahra Governorate to clamp down on criminals.

3 die on duty: Three workers, an Indian and two Egyptians, died on duty in three separated incidents at the Shuaiba Port and Shuwaikh, reports Al-Qabas daily.
In the first incident the 35-year-old Indian, whose identity has not been disclosed, fell to his death from a 15-meter height while carrying out repairs. The death was instantaneous.
The second incident two hours later involving an Egyptian worker took place in the same area. The Egyptian also died on the spot.
Meanwhile, another Egyptian was electrocuted to death inside a company in Shuwaikh while carrying out electrical repairs.

Woman jumps to death
: An Asian woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly jumped to her death from a residential building in Jahra, reports Al-Rai daily.
The corpse of the victim has been referred to Forensics. Police are investigating the incident.

Doctors without license: Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department recently raided an apartment in Salmiya and arrested three people - a Kuwaiti, a Yemeni and an Indian, for practicing medicine without permission, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The raid was conducted after police investigations revealed the clinic owned by the Kuwaiti was run by the Yemeni although he is not a qualified practitioner. The Indian was arrested for assisting the ‘doctor’.
According to reports the doctor was caught in the act while examining an unidentified patient. During interrogation he is said to have admitted to practicing medicine for the past 18 months.
