Kuwaiti critically hurt in Rai mall fight with Bangladeshi

KUWAIT CITY, June 5: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 20s was severely injured in the head, and 26-year old Bangladeshi expatriate sustained electric shock while they engaged in a fight in front of a famous mall in Rai Saturday morning. The two men were referred to the Sabah and Farwaniya hospitals respectively for treatment. Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fight. The case has since been registered.

Broadcaster threatened: A broadcaster at a Kuwaiti satellite television channel suffered from a sudden drop in blood pressure in the early hours Saturday when a relative broke into his house, fired three times and fled from the scene.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location immediately after receiving information on the incident.  Initial investigations revealed the broadcaster had an earlier dispute with his relative. 
Rescue officers took the broadcaster to Al-Sabah Hospital, while the securitymen intensified their efforts to look for the relative, who was arrested later and referred to the concerned security department for interrogation. Sources revealed the broadcaster is suffering from a heart disease and the shooting incident led to the deterioration of his health condition. 

900 citations, 60 cars seized: Mubarak Al-Kabeer traffic police issued 900 traffic citations and impounded more than 60 vehicles during several campaigns it launched against reckless drivers and law violators last week, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
