The condemnations and denouncements of the above crimes must also include the United States of America in its capacity as the strategic supporter of Z “THE bloody Zionist massacre that targeted our Arab brothers who supported the Palestinian people who currently suffer from the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip, could be seen as a new crime laced with the racist, aggressive, terrorist and expansionist nature of Zionism and the Israeli entity,” columnist and former Secretary-General of Kuwait Democratic Forum Ahmed Al-Dayyen wrote for Alam-Alyawm daily Tuesday.
“As a matter of fact, everybody knows the history of the Zionist entity which is laced with terrorist tendencies and dated back to the beginning of the establishment of this entity in 1948. This means terrorist tendencies have been running deep into the veins of this entity since its foundation. “The present scenario reminds us of the massacre carried out by the Israeli army under Moshe Dayan against the unarmed Palestinians in Al-Lid City in July 1948 that killed as many as 250 Palestinians.
“Another massacre was carried out against the unarmed Palestinians in Dier Yaseen village on Sept 4, 1948 Menachem Begin and Yitzak Shamir led the Zionist gangs of Tsel, Irgun and Hagana respectively killing 254 people most of them women and children. “Likewise, we cite a series of massacres which were carried out by the Israelis against the unarmed Palestinians in Kofr Qassem village in 1956 killing hundreds of innocent people in addition to another massacre of 1982 which was led by the then Israeli defence minister Ariel Sharon against the unarmed Palestinians in Sabra and Shatila camps in Lebanon.
“Furthermore we cite the massacre of the worshippers at the Holy Al-Aqsa mosque in 1990 in Jerusalem when scores of worshippers were martyred in addition to another massacre of 24 worshippers at the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque on Feb 25, 1994 in Hebron. “Apart from the above, the Israelis carried out another massacre at Qana in Lebanon in 1996 which came to be known as the ‘Qana I Massacre’ in addition to another massacre in the same village in 2002 that was called ‘Qana II Massacre’, in addition to the Israeli aggression on Lebanon in 2006. “Needless to say the condemnations and denouncements of the above crimes must also include the United States of America in its capacity as the strategic supporter of Zionist terrorism because the US provides the necessary logistic, diplomatic and informational support for Zionist terrorism.
“Apart from the above, we condemn and denounce the attitudes of the Arab regimes which are currently involved in normalizing ties with the Zionist entity. These regimes actively participated in the imposition of the criminal blockade on our people of the Gaza Strip. “Unfortunately, this happened although the Palestinian political arena still suffers from an unjustifiable split under an Arab state of capitulation and deficit given the fact that the popular Arab powers are currently suffering from repression that is being practiced against them by the despotic and corrupt regimes on behalf of the Zionists and their allies.”

“A new episode of the Zionist arrogance and series of criminal activities were carried out in cold blood reflecting the aggressive nature of the Zionists and their recklessness in dealing with international law and humanitarian values and morals,” columnist Abdulrahman Al-Awadhi wrote for Freedom Journal Tuesday.
“The crime committed by the Zionists can be called the most brutal by an apostate and a usurping entity. This happened when a unit of the Israeli commandos attacked the ‘Freedom Flotilla’ carrying humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in the Israeli blockaded Gaza Strip killing 20 activists and injuring 60 others.
“Not just that, the Israeli unit later forcibly towed the ‘Freedom Flotilla’ to one of the Israeli ports and the activists were subjected to an investigation.
“This ugly face of the Zionist entity is not new, because this face reflects some of its horrible practices. In other words, the Zionist entity is involved in persecuting not only the people of the Gaza Strip, but has committed a crime against human rights activists who have not committed any crime except carry foodstuff for their brothers living in the besieged Gaza Strip.
“The insistence by the Zionists to practice organized terrorism and piracy to promote tension in the Middle East region and subvert the opportunities for peace process in this part of the world, shows all countries throughout the world including the Arab, Muslim and foreign countries must learn the lesson and start taking action.”
“The brutal and savage aggression on the ‘Freedom Flotilla’ which was heading for the Gaza Strip to break the Israeli blockade imposed on that part of Palestine, reveals the actual face of Jewish entity and reflects the aggressive psychology of the leaders of the usurping Zionist entity” columnist Ahmed Bin Fahd wrote for Al-Sabah daily Tuesday.
“In the meantime, the brutal Zionist attack against the Freedom Flotilla exposes the deficit of the Arab state on both the political and popular fronts. The attack in question reveals the poor planning and actions of Arabs when it comes to encountering the Zionist entity.
“However, irrespective of the mechanism that governed the trip of the Freedom Flotilla, it is needless to say we are emotionally sympathizing with the Freedom Flotilla and as such we are not here to evaluate the intentions of the people aboard, because we realize that the emotions of these people had lured them to take the flotilla bound for Gaza Strip to extend humanitarian assistance to the besieged people there.
“In spite of the above away from informational and political thrills, we suggest the human aid can reach the Gaza Strip or any place in the universe via charity societies either in Kuwait or in any other Muslim country.
“We concede organizing the Freedom Flotilla was aimed at projecting the volume of the tragedy that currently faces the people of the Gaza Strip and condemn the Zionist entity and this should be commended, but in view of the coordinated efforts between the Zionists and other international entities, the thinking in this way seems to be irrelevant, particularly since we know the issue of the siege of the Gaza Strip is known to all Western countries at official and popular levels.”
“Needless to say the real objective of the Freedom Flotilla to move towards the besieged Gaza Strip was not confined to carrying humanitarian aid because Gaza will not die as a result of the Israeli blockade,” columnist, former Editor-in-Chief of Al- Furqan magazine and the incumbent Deputy Chairman of Islamic Heritage Revival Society Dr Wael Al-Hasawi wrote for Al-Rai daily Tuesday.
“In other words, even if the Freedom Flotilla had managed to reach the Gaza Strip, the humanitarian assistance would not solve the problem of the Gaza Strip, because the ships were carrying little foodstuff.
“In spite of the above, the ‘Freedom Flotilla’ achieved its objective through a bloody attack which was carried out against it by the Israeli marines, given the fact this attack exposed the West which currently supports the bloody Israeli entity although the latter doesn’t recognize the Human Rights Charter nor have any moral values but rather is always involved in killing innocent people and this was evident through its occupation of the territories of other countries in the Middle East region.
“Not just that, this entity prevents human aid from having access to its victims and killing those who try to extend a helping hand to these victims.
“Now the question is: Aren’t the Westerners feeling shy because they have been always boasting about human rights and even animal rights and are now watching from the sidelines the Israeli arrogance?
“Not just that, they stand against those who condemn arrogance, because they consider the Israeli practices as legitimate in the name of self-defense.”
“Statistics help in revealing facts and diagnosing defects, as well as suggesting solutions in a convincing and scientific way. They are more effective than discussing and arguing in a closed circle,” columnist Dr Hassan Abdullah Johar wrote for Al-Jarida daily.
“Hence, it is very important to study statistics while taking decisions. The annual book of the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) should be one of the main references for taking political decisions. We suggest the Minister of Planning and Development conduct an intensive training course for his colleagues in the government, as well as for top leaders in the country to be aware of figures mentioned in such reports, especially since we are about to enter a new era of development.
“Incidentally, some figures related to youngsters who are the future of our country are worrisome. Statistics reveal that during the next 10 years, nearly 300,000 Kuwaiti students will be waiting to pursue university degrees.”
“The grilling request submitted by MP Khalid Al-Tahous against the Prime Minister over the Umm Al-Haiman pollution case doesn’t interest me much and I haven’t even bothered to go through the interrogation request. The grilling won’t prove successful as we know that many MPs tried to interrogate ministers and the Premier earlier and failed to achieve anything positive,” columnist Mohammad Musaed Al-Saleh wrote for Al-Qabas daily.
“It was a matter of ‘prestige’ for the MP to submit a grilling against the Prime Minister of the country. He knows it will make him famous and will give him an opportunity to get a photo clicked with the Secretary General of the National Assembly following which he can talk to media men, get more photos clicked and issue statements on the importance of this grilling.”
“The government is planning to float a tender for building new runways in the Kuwait International Airport,” columnist Zayed Al-Zaid wrote for Annahar daily.
“According to sources, some influential parties in the government are trying help a company win the more than KD 140 million project tender. These influential parties reportedly asked the owners of this chosen company to restrain a group of MPs, in order to ensure the passing of the project with least modifications. According to sources, the company owners selected an MP, who is well-known for adopting blackmailing and bargaining tactics, and promised to grant him KD 2 million to form a parliamentary lobby to support this project. They also promised to pay every MP who joins the lobby an additional KD 50,000.”
“Al-Seyassah daily published a report on May 30 saying the Ministry of Public Works will spend KD 264.76 million on the completion of Al-Jahra Road project and said it will include a 21 kilometer road, bridges and flyovers,” columnist Khaled Al-Jenfawi wrote for Al-Seyassah daily.
“We wish the government spent a quarter of KD 264 million in constructing social service centers and scientific and entertainment centers in Jahra, especially since it lacks these facilities. Moreover, I feel residents of this governorate and historical village deserve these amenities.
“Why can’t we establish branches of national museums and Scientific Center in Jahra? Why doesn’t the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) contribute in solving this critical problem?”
“The Iraqi government’s decision to dissolve Iraqi Airways Corporation is a clear message to Kuwait and all its well wishers. The Iraqi government lost credibility in dealing with Kuwait which is to receive compensations worth more than US $1 billion,” columnist Nayef Al-Odwani wrote for Al-Shahid daily.
“This so-called new democratic country refused to pay compensations to Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) and is trying to manipulate international laws to dodge its responsibility.
“The most astonishing and regrettable part was the Iraqi Transportation Minister’s statement in which he said ‘now let’s see how Kuwait gets its dues.’
“If the new Iraq and its democratic people do not comply with international regulations and accords, what is the mechanism of dealing with them if our government wants to invest the compensation funds in Iraq?”
“For the first time, the government is counteracting threats incited by the labor unions to hold demonstrations, and it will strictly confront any possible demonstration, as indicated by the Deputy Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Sabah,” Za’ar Al-Rasheedi wrote for Al-Anba daily. “Although the message delivered by Sheikh Mohammad on behalf of the government was rhetorical, it apparently had a legal threat, and statement the Cabinet later issued to clarify the Interior Minister’s instructions confirmed the government is serious in handling the case. “Definitely, demonstration is the legal right of laborers, and no government official is authorized to manipulate the laborer’s right, except the government clearly announces giving up all international accords the country signed in that regard.”
“In the sight of God, slavery is the only logic for freedom and basis of liberation, in terms of liberating the mind, soul and behavior from enslavement of desire and deviation, which controls will power and choice,” Ammar Kathem wrote for Al-Dar daily. “Islam came into being to inspire the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as guidance and mercy for mankind, in order that we will be brought out from the darkness of polytheism to the light of faith, and worship the one true God in purity. Thus, Islam came so that the horizon of freedom will open and lead mankind to security and peace”.
“The entire world has been witness to the timid and brutal Zionist commandos raiding the convoy of innocent citizens on the international waterway, just before the freedom flotilla could reach Gaza,” Salah Al-Ghannam for Arrouiah daily. “Is there any stronger evidence, for the international community to realize the brutality and criminal activities being executed by the Zionists? We wonder what is keeping the US, the West, and the United Nations from stopping the excesses of Zionists. Are they going to limit reactions to the usual condemnation of the action and temporarily recall their ambassadors, who shall return to their posts when the situation is back to normal, while their relations with Israel will be consolidated? “The ships carrying the convoy were not armed with guns, bombs or missiles to have endangered lives in that territory, while the convoy never trespassed. Their destination was clear, so it could not have warranted drastic and violent attacks from the Israeli side. They knew that those innocent men and women on humanitarian mission in that territory were of clear intention, but the Zionists took extraordinary steps to ensure the convoy would not reach their destination, while exposing their lives to danger, killing and torture”.
“Israeli soldiers violated all international laws and displayed a high level of disregard for international principles and values by massacring innocent people,” columnist Nabil Al-Awadhi wrote for Al-Watan Arabic daily. “Israel has been freely perpetrating heinous crimes while none of the international organizations, including the United Nations and the Security Council ever bothered to stop it. What is happening to this world? Where are Muslim leaders? Will they limit their reactions to issuance of statements condemning the act? We free Muslims who only depend on God and His Prophet (PBUH) ask the leaders to keep their complaints with them because all the previous ones proved useless. “Non-Muslim nations will be appalled by inaction, lackluster attitude and indifference of Muslim leaders towards the plight of people who opposed Israeli excesses. The calamity that befell activists on the Freedom Flotilla would not have happened had Egypt opened the border for humanitarian aid to the Gazans.”
