Securitymen arrest five Egyptians, seize 2,500 drug pills KD 300, gold worth KD 150 stolen from Arab man’s home
KUWAIT CITY, May 28: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested five Egyptians for possessing and consuming drugs. Police have also seized from them 2,500 drug pills, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to security sources, police received information that one of the suspects was trafficking in drugs in Farwaniya. A security force was formed and plainclothes policemen saw the man selling drug pills to students of a secondary school in Farwaniya.
The man was caught when he attempted to sell 300 drug pills for KD 1,000 to a plainclothes policeman.
During interrogation the suspect said he was just a distributor and led police to the compatriot supplier living in Khaitan, but when police raided the place there were three other men.
Police then seized from the men 2,200 drug tablets and referred them to the Prosecution.
Meanwhile, An Arab man in his 40s has filed a case with the Khaitan Police Station accusing unidentified persons of breaking into his apartment and stealing money and gold ornaments, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
The victim told police the theft occurred when he was visiting friends with his family.
He added when he returned home he found someone had broken into his apartment and stolen KD 300 and gold worth KD 150.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to arrest the thief.
