Indian duo rapes Lankan woman Female expat beats guard
KUWAIT CITY, May 27: Securitymen have arrested two Indians for raping a Sri Lankan woman, in her 30s, inside a flat in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
This came after the woman filed a complaint with police against the suspects, who allegedly abducted and raped her. She provided police with a detailed description of the suspects.
Securitymen intensified their search efforts, leading to the arrest of the suspects inside the flat where they reportedly raped the woman.
Preliminary investigations revealed an absconding case had been filed against both suspects seven months ago. They were referred to the relevant security departments for the necessary legal action.
Girls in boxing bout: Two girls have lodged a complaint against each other at Sulaibiya Police Station.
Security sources disclosed the two girls had a heated argument inside a mobile phone shop in Sulaibiya and this escalated into a fistfight. The shop manager intervened, prompting both girls to file a complaint against each other at a nearby police station.
The securitymen encouraged both girls to settle their disputes amicably.
Female beats guard: A security guard working at Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has lodged a complaint against a female expatriate who allegedly beat him when he stopped her while trying to enter the headquarters of the company without obtaining permission from the concerned officials.
A case was registered against the woman and she was referred to Ahmadi Police Station for interrogation.
Deliberate run over: Two Kuwaitis suffered from multiple injuries and fractures in their feet when a group of six men, who were driving along a road in Fahaheel Wednesday deliberately ran over them.
It has been reported the two Kuwaitis had an earlier dispute with the six men, who knocked them down deliberately in retaliation.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after receiving information on the incident. However, the six men fled from the scene immediately after sensing police presence. The two Kuwaitis were taken to a nearby hospital.
A case was registered and investigations are underway to arrest the suspects.
Asian beaten, robbed: An Asian man lodged a complaint with police against two unidentified youths who beat him in Subiya and stole KD 205 from him.
The Asian provided police with a detailed description of his assailants. A circular was then distributed to various security check points to ease procedures for the arrest of the suspects.
Barber shop looted: The owner of a barber shop located behind Qadisiya Club has filed a complaint against unknown persons who allegedly broke into the shop and carted away KD 1,000 cash.
The owner told police he was surprised when he went to the shop Wednesday as the door was broken. He checked the contents of the shop and to his dismay, he discovered the thieves took KD 1,000 from his cash box. Police are now looking for the thieves.
