Egyptian man Loony for ‘love’
KUWAIT CITY, May 26: Security forces arrested an Egyptian man who allegedly tried to kill a Filipina colleague, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The Egyptian is said to have lost composure when the woman rejected his love advances, and he reportedly pursued her on a street in Hawalli with a knife.
Passers-by managed to control the man and called the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry, while rescue officers promptly arrived at the scene, and arrested the suspect. He was referred to the concerned authority after his colleague accused him of attempted murder.
Jumps from car: A Kuwaiti woman in her early 30s sustained serious injury and additional fractures to various parts of the body, after she reportedly jumped from a car near Al-Bida’a Roundabout early Tuesday morning, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The woman was referred to a hospital by paramedics for treatment, while investigation is in progress to determine the cause of the accident.
Police officer insulted: A police officer with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, working at the General Ports Department, lodged a complaint in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police station and accused a Kuwaiti man of humiliating him while on duty, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The officer said the accused had submitted a transaction to the department, and he lost self-control after the complainant refused to approve it because the documents were incomplete.
